Thanks so much for visiting my blog and liking my “Dear God…” poem. I hope you’ll return and I look forward to reading through your blog, as well. It’s wonderful that you’ve had a career of writing for children. That has been one of my dreams, in fact, I believe there are some stories sitting on the back burner. Good Morning – I just nominated your site for a 7×7 Link Award
I would like to thank Michelle at http://www.ByHisGrace211.wordpress.com for nominating me for the 7×7 Link Award
Please check out ByHisGrace211 blog site – you will be encouraged
Romans 1:12 says: that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other
As with most Blog Awards on WordPress there are stipulations that must be met upon acceptance of the award. With the 7×7 Link Award the first thing you have to do is tell something about yourself that nobody knows.
I am trying to turn every thought, every situation in my life into Praise – I am trying to learn how to become secure and peaceful about the God’s plan for me
Next: 7×7 links to my pieces I feel are worthy to link up:
Most Beautiful Piece: http://reeknittingwordswithgod.wordpress.com/2011/12/07/in-god-i-trust/

Most Underrated: http://joycedevivre.wordpress.com/blog/

Next step to the 7×7 Award fulfillment is to nominate 7 bloggers who I feel deserve the honor and hopefully haven’t already received it. In no particular order:
Revelling in the Overflowing Grace of God – http://bickleyhouse.wordpress.com/
Two Minutes of Grace – http://twominutesofgrace.wordpress.com/

Hi, Laurie and Betsy:
My blog was awarded the Kreativ Blogger award, and part of the award acceptance is to “pass on” the award to other bloggers. I’d like to pass it on to you.
If you’d like to accept it, please visit this post on my Darla Writes blog that mentions your blog, and follow what I’ve done there.

Happy New Year!

Hi Sisters! Just nominated you for another award: the “One Lovely Blog Award”. No obligation–just be blessed! (my post will appear within the next couple of days)
Hi, I just nominated you for a Versatile Blogger Award! Blessings, Martha
Hi. I am officially nominating your for a King of Kings Friendship Awardd. Pop over to my blog when you have a moment and read about it and grab a copy of the award image so you can post it on your own blog. Congrats! This award doesn’t come with a list of things you need to do to accept it – it’s all about blessing you!
Hi Betsy and Laurie
Its Susie over at SPTP2011
In the beginning of my blog experience – I started out with a story called the Stupid Parents Trailer Park
This writing was about a group of retirees forced to live in the desert on “cheap land” because of the help they gave their families through the years
I started out with a concept for ?? – a book, script or play?
Then my writings changed and the Lord impressed upon me to change the name of my blog to SPTP2011 and write about Praising Him!
I have received another prodding (hopefully from the Spirit) to contact you both about the story line of Stupid Parents Trailer Park
I would like to have your input on the story. I would like to change some of the writing to include Scripture.
Also I am stuck at the “Next story-line” point because I am not versed in writing dialogue – especially men’s characters.
On my side-bar @ sptp2011 the archives go back to March of 2011 where the original story line began – the story runs until approximately the end of March and
stops when my writing began to change.
This story is a bitter-sweet story and Susie @ sptp says: We can either be stupid with bitterness or stupid with love … I choose Love!
If either of you are interested in a new story with twists and turns – please check it out
I will be interested to see if either of you feel the story can go “somewhere” or if I am just too immature of a writer.
Thanking you in advance
Susie
Dear Susie,
One of the first things I did when I started writing was join a critique group – not only did I get great suggestions for my work, but I had a wonderful support group, providing encouragement at times when it was badly needed. Writing is a lone profession and we need fellowship. So, I highly recommend this.
Don’t get sidetracked with whether a story will “go somewhere” or not. I have a drawer full of stories that still sit in the drawer. However … each of those stories contributed to the writer that I am today. Write whatever God is calling you to write today and leave the outcome to him.
Once when I was visiting a school, a child asked me, “What do you have to do to be a writer? Take special classes? go to college? What?” My answer: “There’s only one thing you have to do to be a writer … WRITE.”
Don’t label yourself – immature/mature, experienced/inexperienced, old/young etc. Labels restrict us and stifle our work. But there’s one label you can accept with gusto – WRITER.
Susie, you are a writer!
Thanks for “Liking” my post, Rejected, Again. I’m thrilled at knowing others, too, have experienced the “thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.” As long as we keep plugging away, perfecting our work, and trying to show up where we can be “discovered,” we have a chance, don’t we?
What a lovely, uplifting blog!
I really enjoy reading your blog…..so many wonderful inspirations and encouragement….thank you. I have followed you so I can continue to read……all the best
blessings
Celeste
Thanks for liking my post. Your blog is very uplifting and filled with wonderful information. I look forward to our paths crossing many more times.
I”m looking forward to spending some more time reading your blog posts. Thanks for stopping by “This, that and the other thing” recently. Since I’ve only been blogging for about a month and a half, it’s fun to have people come by and like what I’ve written. There are an amazing number of blogs about all sorts of things and not enough time to look at them all. I love children’s books and although our daughters are now in their 20′s, I have boxes of children’s and young adult books in the attic for whenever they might want them.
Blessings on your blogging!
Thanks for liking my blog post! I took a look at your blog, website and book covers and am thankful you found me so I could find you both. Wonderful work you have done and continue to do! Keep in touch
Mark

Liked your post today about Tozer. I’m not a fundamentalist anymore but I still admire the “Tozer-variety” of fundamentalist thinkers. He offered life. There was somebody home with him and I still find that to be the case. Thanks very much.
Thanks for the follow! Will regularly check and enjoy the inspiration you bring on your blog
