Beautiful truth sweet sisters! Would you pray for me about that? I’ve just begun writing which brings me great joy. Now to meet some very specific needs of others through that is my burden and prayer. Thank you for your encouragement and friendship!
I think I’ve had several callings other than wife and mother–teacher, home school mom and personal trainer. I’m in a place now where I’m waiting to see the next place God leads me and while I wait, I’m trying to get a house ready to put on the market and get a move going. That makes it easy to wait!
The Lord’s planted a few ideas in my head but I still have to see what plays out. Not that many years ago, I wouldn’t have felt comfortable waiting, but I was one of those poor saps who asked for more patience…and God put my in a variety of situations to give me a good patience workout routine!! I must have been a slow learner, but I’m much farther along the way now and the lessons seem to have gotten farther apart, thankfully! It will be interesting to see what I end up doing.
Wonderful quote, Sisters! In my case, God seems to have saved the best for last–great fun and satisfaction of heart. God bless you abundantly–love, Caddo
I can’t tell you how much this quote has helped me It’s just what I needed to clear my mind about a few writing questions I had for God. Thank you, thank you.
I just love this quote. It helped clear a lot of fog and doubt about my purpose. Still in the process of clearly identifying it, but at least now I know what it isn’t!
It’s taken a very long time to understand what my calling is. I thought it looked different, but, now here it is right in my face. I am called to help other abuse survivors find hope for healing and the strength to move forward. This blogging world has been marvelous and I’ve discovered there is much healing in community.

Lynna, What an incredible calling – to meet the needs of others through your writing. Yes, I will pray for you and that burden. Betsy

So hard to “wait” in the middle of all the other responsibilities of life. I totally relate to the idea of multiple callings.
